During this period, the global pandemic was still impacting various aspects, causing chip shortages and some disruptions within the domestic supply chain. As a result, many materials on the production line were in short supply. Most materials had to be acquired on tight timelines, and any delays could potentially affect the overall delivery schedule.
The initial batch delivery had already been postponed multiple times, leaving us with no room for further delays. Therefore, the cost of producing this batch, AC01, was at its highest. Price hikes and expedited shipping were common situations for procuring many of the materials for this batch.
In order to ensure the earliest possible delivery of the first batch, we expedited numerous aspects of the project. The procurement of many chips, in particular, incurred costs more than double the usual rates. Additionally, chip suppliers were also grappling with shortages. We searched extensively for sources and managed to gather enough chips for the initial production run. When dealing with different sources, we subjected all chip packages to rigorous inspections, preventing any substandard components from making their way into the production process.
Apart from the scarcity of electronic components, the cost of plastic materials had also risen during that period. Eventually, we overcame all procurement challenges, successfully assembling and producing all products. The initial batch of goods completed testing and was shipped out smoothly.
